Carolyn Gay

has been recording the history and growth of children, families and the special moments of life over many years. Gay's gentle and comfortable connection with her subjects brings a natural ease to her portraits that allows the true nature of her subjects to emerge.

Over the years her 'families' return to mark the important events and times of their personal stories. Often from baby photos to Bar mitzvahs and confirmations to weddings and anniversaries; her photos are a lyrical thread connecting the times of their lives.
